Deborah Manners B.Sc. (Hons) Grad. Dip.Ed
Deborah Manners has been a writer, producer and presenter for some 17 years. Now as online publisher for foodintol.com she combines years of experience in delivering concise messages in different media with extensive knowledge of food intolerance.
Ms Manners is a leading authority on food intolerance as a consumer issue. As well as public speaking she has authored and developed a number of manuals and journals which are known as practical and invaluable guidebooks for food intolerant consumers.
As a fellow sufferer of food intolerance, veteran of inadequate diagnoses and traveller on the lifetime path of the special diet she knows what she is talking about.
With qualifications in science and education: B.Sc.(Hons) and Dip.Ed., Monash University and State College of Victoria Ms Manners is well qualified to educate and inform the public about food intolerance.
After teaching mathematics, chemistry and physics for ten years she spent 13 years in television producing corporate training and development programs. Clients included Cadbury Schweppes, Baulderstone Hornibrook, Kraft Foods and Tourism Victoria. Moving into business development in the Accounting, IT and e-commerce sectors she was with global accounting firm Ernst & Young for three years in a senior business development role.
Noticing a major gap in how food intolerance is addressed in Australia, she launched foodintol.com in July 2003 with personal funds. Within 8 months the site enjoyed top world rankings with internet search engines like Google, Yahoo! and ninemsn.
