foodintol.com is an Australian website set up to address the needs of those with Food Intolerances and Food Allergies.

We provide information and practical solutions to overcome the difficulties of food intolerance. We derive revenues from member subscriptions.

Our purpose is to raise awareness about the significant portion of the population (up to 75%) with special needs arising from food sensitivity.

Our mission:

To educate and inform members.

To be a source of practical assistance to members: published guidebooks and journals for managing selective eating, answering member queries in relation to using the books, mentoring through lifestyle changes and guidelines for eating out.

To foster a support community for the sharing of ideas associated with Food Intolerance and Food Allergy via The Tuesday Club.

To raise awareness in the community about food sensitivity, its occurrence and impact on lives and lifestyles.

To give VOICE to food sensitive individuals for acknowledgment by:

  • Manufacturers - To better address the needs of Food Sensitive individuals.
  • Retailers - To allocate shelf space for special dietary foods in direct proportion to the occurrence of Food Sensitivity in the community.
  • Employers - food intolerance as an issue of employee health & welfare and its impact on productivity in the workplace
  • Healthcare sector – To better diagnose and address Food Intolerance through continuously updated information.
  • Hospitality industry – To offer the same attention to menu alternatives for Food Intolerant people as is offered to those on "opt-in" special diets like kosher, vegan and vegetarian. Food sensitivity is not something we choose. It is our own biology and deserves at least as much respect and consideration as those who eat special diets by choice.
  • Government – To recognise additional cost of living of Food Sensitive people, in particular Celiacs, and consider options such as the UK government policy of subsidising Celiacs’ food costs.
