Which Foods Are Nausea Causes?


While there are lots of nausea causes (bacterial infection, travel sickness etc) most people associate nausea with some food they have eaten. Causes of nausea are usually easy to identify because the onset is quite soon after the food has been eaten.

However some foods cause nausea - it's called food intolerance. And if you get it several times a week it could be one you eat all the time. Food intolerance is common see table below. Dairy sensitivity for instance is one of the most common nausea causes in all people around the world. In addition Fructose malabsorption and Gluten intolerance are also a common causes of nausea, especially among children. Fructose is the simple sugar found in fruits and thousands of processed foods. Gluten is in Wheat and some other grains.

Facts about the causes of nausea

Did you know that chronic nausea are a telltale sign of food intolerance? There are only four kinds of (not to be confused with ) and they are widely suffered:

There is only one failsafe and accurate way to identify food intolerance and that's by doing an Elimination Diet.

A common symptom of food intolerance is nausea. And common causes of nausea are intolerances to Gluten, Dairy, Fructose and Yeast. Even though 40 years of research has shown this repeatedly we continue to consume Dairy and other unsuitable substances in large quantities because it is put into so many foods.

Most people don't realise that reduced fat and skim milk products contain more lactose than whole milk versions. Lactose is a simple sugar and manufacturers add whey powder, milk solids and other lactose bearing ingredients, to give their products more substance and sweetness.

Dairy, Gluten and Fructose and all the foods that contain them are common nausea causes. In addition subsequent symptoms like stomach bloating, diarrhea and flatulence are caused by these simple sugars.

Nausea causes misery in millions of the world's people. But few of them bother to check out whether they have a food intolerance. Check the Symptoms Matrix (you must register first) to see whether your nausea could be caused by eating too much Dairy, Yeast, Gluten or Fructose.

As you can see from the table above Food intolerance is not rare. Lots of people have it but don't realise. Nausea is a signal from your body. Don't ignore the signal.
