Asthma, Chronic Cough and Bronchitis

Asthma, chronic cough and bronchitis are all consequences of systemic respiratory inflammation. All too frequently the cause of the inflammation is toxins in certain foods.  However - this is hardly ever recognised as the culprit - so the doctor just relieves symptoms temporarily with medication.

But if you decided move to a LOW TOXIN DIET - IT GOES TO THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM - and respiratory inflammation, obstruction and congestion can improve.

How common is Asthma and Chronic Cough?

Sometimes a chronic cough is actually asthma which has not yet been diagnosed. Asthma is common - but it is also very under-diagnosed - so real rates are actually higher than reported in clinical studies.

In developed countries like the US, UK and Australia up to 20% (one in five) of young people have asthma or chronic cough.

But prevalence of asthma is much lower (~2%) in non-westernised countries like Indonesia and India. This suggests a causative role in the western diet - where "Modern Foods" like dairy, grains and sugars are consumed heavily . . . these foods are loaded with toxins.

The rate of asthma worldwide is increasing over time. Health organizations have found increased rates of 200% to 400% over the last three decades. The most dramatic increases occur when people move from a rice-based diet as in Asia to a more 'Western' diet heavy in wheat and milk products.

What causes Asthma and Chronic Cough?

What are Asthma 'triggers'?

Many people blame 'triggers' for asthma - like cat fur or horse hair or pollens from flowers. In truth, these only tip you over the edge into an asthma attack if you already have an underlying level of inflammation in your body - as it is when we eat food toxins.

When your immune system has to struggle constantly with toxins you eat every day - it is always in a state of 'red alert'.
And when the trigger happens - you go into a fit of coughing immediately.

Studies have shown when food toxins are reduced, chronic respiratory conditions can improve.

Causes of Asthma and Coughing

Asthma and coughing are very commonly caused by undiagnosed and untreated food intolerances (food sensitivities) - particularly to certain proteins:

    • Along with airborne pathogens, major causes of asthma and bronchitis are FOOD TOXINS

Up to three in four people have some type of sensitivity to FOOD TOXINS. But moving to a LOW TOXIN DIET can bring great improvement.

How does food intolerance cause Chronic Cough and Asthma?

When food toxins arrive in the bloodstream - they are not recognised as 'friendly' by your immune system. The immediate response is to set up inflammation in your body:

  • Inflammation at the joints causes stiffness and arthritis
  • Inflammation at the skin can cause hives, eczema and psoriasis
  • Inflammation in the lungs or nasal passages accumulates fluids and irritation: asthma, bronchitis and cough

This is how food intolerance can lead to asthma and coughing. How to stop the inflammation?  . . . move to a LOW TOXIN DIET.

What is the treatment for Chronic Cough and Asthma?

Temporary relief: You can use puffer medications, anti-histamines or supplements from the pharmacy for a few hours relief - but over time these meds are not good for your body - and all have side-effects.

If bronchitis strikes every winter - you will also need anti-biotics for a few weeks - with all the consequences and side effects of that. Many doctors have taken a new approach and realise it could be a food sensitivity causing the coughing and asthma. However - food intolerance is still not taught extensively in medical schools - so many doctors miss this opportunity to help patients recover permanently - and turn straight to medications.

Permanent relief treatment: Go to the source of the probelm - the actual cause of your Asthma.
One option is to move to a LOW TOXIN DIET.

What if I do nothing about my Bronchitis, Cough and Asthma?

You can choose to do nothing of course. But now that you are learning about food toxins CONTINUING TO EAT THEM may not make sense any more.

Doing so will certainly continue to impact your body and your health > > chronic symptoms develop into chronic disease e.g. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD.

At foodintol® we provide lots of free information for you to make informed decisions. Remember if you have had asthma all your life - there is probably some damage to your lungs already. While that may not heal - why choose to let the damage go on?

In reality - your asthma is actually a valuable warning sign - like a Red Flag - that things will get worse later in life. It gives you a great opportunity to investigate before a more serious illness appears.

When will I be cured from Cough, Bronchitis and Asthma?

Because Asthma is usually caused by a raft of food toxins acting in various combinations - there is an easy cure. But it is not a pill or medicine or puffer inhalant.

It is a DIFFERENT DIET. The best cure of all - is good natural fresh foods which are safe for you and your food sensitivity. Try a low toxin diet.
