The Symptoms Matrix

Delayed Reactions Cause Confusion

Am I affected? How common is food intolerance?

Many people feel they are not affected by food intolerance. But the evidence says otherwise.

Research says 75% (3 in 4) of all people have some type of food sensitivity. A few statistics:

>> 3 in 4 have lactose intolerance (even if they are unaware)

>> 15% are unable to digest gluten (difficult to identify and often misdiagnosed)

>> 1 in 3 cannot tolerate fructose (often misread as other illnesses)

>> Up to 90% of Asians have dairy sensitivity

>> Inflammation caused by Nightshades, legumes  and other foods containing food toxins is often misdiagnosed

Symptoms Matrix

The Symptoms Matrix only a rough guide to food intolerance. It is very likely that you are responding badly to a number of food toxins acting together. There are more than twenty food toxins and they combine in various ways to make us sick.

We recommed  A LOW TOXIN DIET as the most sensible way forward. Learn more with the Free ebook about Food Toxins

At the top of each column there is a link to a type of food intolerance - Dairy, Nightshade etc. If your symptoms fall mostly in one column then there is a good chance you have that intolerance. For instance psoriasis and Celiac disease are associated only with Gluten intolerance.

But many other symptoms are common to more than one. You may have more than one intolerance - or you may need to test them separately.

Find each of your symptoms in the first column and then trace across to see which columns have a dot. Do this one by one for each symptom, eg. headache, stomach bloating, hives etc. (Some people print the Symptoms Matrix and mark their symptoms on the page with an 'X'.)
You are looking for a pattern that matches up with your collection of symptoms.

Remember also, most people have more than one food intolerance.
